Disco Night
A disco night to round out the school holidays.
A proper, pumping disco is landing in town. DJ Moses on the decks. Professional lighting rigs. A dance floor that won't stop. This is the real deal.
Cygnet doesn't get events for the young people like this often, usually you have to drive an hour for anything with a real sound system and lights that actually move.
We're bringing DJ Moses, a professional DJ who knows how to read a crowd and keep a dance floor alive right here to our little corner of the Huon Valley. And he's not coming alone. There will be professional lighting rigs, effects, and atmosphere to go with the music.
This one's for the teens and young people who are looking for something to do close to home. And for the parents who want to know their kids are somewhere safe, local, and genuinely having fun.
12 & Under - dedicated time for you from 6:00pm - 7:00pm (if you're the older end you can stay on with parental permission)
Teenage Youth Session
Strong Children Stronger Communities want to hear from you. What do you want, that you would use?
Do you want a drop in space on Tuesdays at 4:00pm, or somewhere to hang out on Fridays at 7:00pm; do you want regular movie nights?
Is a space to cook a meal and read a book more your thing, or play some board games?
We know what teenagers want is changing, and we want to support you to have it in Cygnet.
Come along, have a piece of pizza and share what you would like to see.

Finding hope in uncertain times
Join us for an inspiring evening of community, conversation, and powerful storytelling as we explore the themes of hope and resilience through two extraordinary lived experiences.
Our speakers for the evening are Bob Brown and Nigel Brennan.
For more than 50 years, Bob Brown has stood at the forefront of environmental activism, challenging powerful interests that place profit before the planet. From the Franklin River campaign to global climate advocacy, Bob continues to lead with courage, conviction, and optimism - demonstrating that hope is not passive, but something we actively choose and fight for.
Nigel Brennan survived 463 days in captivity after being kidnapped in Somalia while working as a photojournalist. His story is one of endurance, perspective, and the strength of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable adversity. Through his experience, Nigel offers profound insights into resilience, gratitude, and rebuilding after trauma.
Together, these two remarkable speakers will share stories that challenge, inspire, and remind us of the power of hope in uncertain times.
We invite you to come together for this very special event.
Zinnia Blue will be performing.
There will be drinks and dinner available for purchase on the night, as well as a raffle.
