New Visitor Information Boards

The Cygnet Association is pleased to announce the installation of the new Visitor Information Boards in front of the library.

We would like to thank Huon Valley Council for the grant and Cathy McAuliffe for the graphic design work. They look great - go and have a look for yourself!

Regular open meetings with HCC staff

Starting 1 July 2026, Council staff will be at the Cygnet Town Hall every second Wednesday from 10am–4pm.

Got a concern about your street, an idea for your neighbourhood, or just want to know more about what Council is working on? Drop into the Police Room for a chat — no question is too small and no topic too big.

Bottom pub group launches a website

The group exploring a community or similar purchase of the bottom pub has launched a website.

Cygnet Walks printed booklet now available

In addition to the electronic version of the Cygnet Walks booklet available on this website, a printed version is now available.

Copies are currently available at the Cygnet Living History Museum and at the Old Bank in exchange for a donation.

Cygnet Township Safety Upgrades Drop In

Drop into the Cygnet Town Hall Court Room to view all the plans for the Cygnet township safety upgrades and chat with the team.

The HVC will be onsite with enlarged plans and will be able to take you through what changes are happening and answer any of your questions.

There will be two sessions. The first is on Tuesday, 14 July 2026 between 20:00 am and 2:00 pm. The second is on Sunday, 16 August 2026 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
